Bridal Shower Bliss!

This past weekend went by way too fast! I was occupied for the entire weekend with Matron of Honor duties of throwing a bridal shower for one of my cousins who I consider more as a younger sister than a cousin. From the moment she told me her colors, I was conjuring up ideas for the shower and wedding stationery. When she came to me with her inspirations of modern flourishes and chic damask in cranberry, black and white I was ecstatic of the possibilities of these classic colors with a modern twist. For her bridal shower invitations I used our "luxury single layer" invitation suite with our "peacock flourish artwork" in black tie and cranberry ink. The font types are century and bickham.

To tie in the color palette on the light charcoal grey walls of my aunt's home, I added splashes of red with paper tissue flowers, cranberry satin ribbon, black sheer organza ribbon, black and white damask ribbon, and scalloped labels in cranberry ink.

For the favors I created my very first "candy buffet" with black, white, red, and silver candies. I couldn't get a photograph of the buffet without the plastic covers on the candy jars after guests arrived, as there was always somebody in front of it either admiring the set up or filling their goody bags. It was such a hit, I would recommend it for anyone looking for a crafty and thoughtful way of displaying their favors for guests at any type of party!

  1. Tina went above and beyond the call of matron duties with this shower!! As the guest of honor, i was completely taken back, and in awe of her creativity, and attention to detail in every aspect of the day! My guests thought my bridal shower invite was my wedding invitation, and all of the guest had said it was the nicest shower they had ever been to. The tissue paper flowers, OMG! Tina impresses me with every new design she creates! Thanks again big sis! Love you, and thank you once again!!
